Our Story
We’re so glad you found your way here. San Benito Paper was started to bring together three great loves – the magic of a hand-written note, the creation of art, and the wonder of our natural world. We’re a small stationer focused on creating paper goods that are natural and simple. We’re believers in providing a small canvas for you to write a note to someone you need to connect with.
Our Aesthetic
We believe in the power of written expression - whether a simple 'I love you,' 'I'm sorry,' or 'I miss you.' San Benito cards and papers share art that is inspired by Jennifer's childhood riding her bike with miles of fields on either side, walking the west coast beaches, and now watching the sun creep over the Wasatch Mountains. Her illustrations celebrate the majestic and the gentle, the bright and the subtle. We hope they give you a nudge to write that note you've been spelling out in your mind. Whether in a lunch box, a mailbox, or under a pillow, there's nothing quite like having someone's words to read, re-read, and tuck away as something treasured.
Our Owner
Jennifer (an artist by love and trade) has explored many art forms, including intaglio print making, oil painting, textile arts (large scale rug hooking), as well as pencil illustration. Born in Canada, raised in California (San Benito County!) she now resides in Utah with her husband and is (reluctantly) watching her five children grow up and leave the nest.
